WorldCat: If we don’t have it at Barry, try searching WorldCat. This will show you nearby libraries that have the item. When searching for a journal article, remember that you will be searching for the name of the journal (not the title of the article) to see if the other library subscribes to the journal.
Use ILLiad to Request an Interlibrary Loan
Do you need to look at a book or article that is not available here in the Monsignor William Barry Library? The Barry Library belongs to a network of libraries that lend each other books and articles. If your research requires a source that Barry does not have, you can borrow that source from another library in the network. This service is called interlibrary loan. ILLiad is the system Barry Library uses to borrow other libraries’ sources.
To request an interlibrary loan using ILLiad:
New users can register for ILLiad by going to: http://bucwis.barry.edu/libraryservices/services/default.htm , clicking on First Time Users, and filling out the form. The school address will be sufficient for the address field. Please make note of your user name and password.
If you have any questions or wish to reset your password, contact the Circulation Desk at ll@barry.edu.
