Use ILLiad to Request an Interlibrary Loan

Do you need to look at a book or article that is not available here in the Monsignor William Barry Library?  The Barry Library belongs to a network of libraries that lend each other books and articles.  If your research requires a source that Barry does not have, you can borrow that source from another library in the network.  This service is called interlibrary loan. ILLiad is the system Barry Library uses to borrow other libraries’ sources.

To request an interlibrary loan using ILLiad:

1. Log into ILLiad at https://barry.illiad.oclc.org/illiad/FJQ/logon.html.
2. Find the New Request section on the left menu, then choose the type of material you wish to borrow.
3. Fill in the form with as much specific information as you have about the material you wish to borrow.
4. Click Submit Request.
5. You will receive an email when the request has been fulfilled.
6. You can retrieve articles that have been delivered by logging into Illiad and clicking Electronically Received Articles under View.  Click the PDF icon to view and save the article.
7. You can pick up books at the Barry Library Circulation Desk.

New users can register for ILLiad by going to: http://bucwis.barry.edu/libraryservices/services/default.htm , clicking on First Time Users, and filling out the form.  The school address will be sufficient for the address field.  Please make note of your user name and password.
