How to schedule an appointment:

Students and alumni may request a meeting with a career counselor online via Handshake.

• Navigate to https://barry.joinhandshake.com/. 
• Click on Barry University Sign On and log in using your Barry email and password. 
• Click on Career Center in the upper-right corner of your screen.
• Click on Appointments from your Career Center's page.
• Click the Schedule a New Appointment button in the upper-left of the page.
• Click on the desired category, then click on the desired type of appointment.
• Click on a time that works for you, choose the appointment medium (in-person, virtual on Handshake or phone call) then enter details about the appointment in the "What can we help you with?" section. Don’t forget to include your phone number for phone appointments.
• Click Request in the lower-right of the screen.

You may also call 305-899-4010 or stop by Landon 205 to schedule. 

Appointments are not necessary to drop-in during Resume Critique Hours. Please have your resume available to be reviewed. Drop-in sessions are 10-15 minutes long and are giving on a first-come, first-served basis. 

After your resume has been critiqued, you may be referred to schedule and appointment with a Career Counselor who can assist with additional needs, such as finding an internships, practicing for interviews, or searching for employment. 

To get your resume reviewed, simply stop by the office on a day and time that is convenient for you:

Resume Drop-in Hours: 

• Tuesday: 10am - 12pm
• Wednesday: 12pm - 2pm 
• Thursday: 2pm - 4pm 

**Please note that above hours are subject to counselor availability and only offered during the Fall and Spring semesters. 

Resume Drop-in Hours are designed to be brief meetings with a Career Counselor to address questions or provide feedback on your resume. If longer time is needed, you are welcome to schedule an appointment with your dedicated Career Counselor via Handshake as a follow-up.
