Dissertations can be useful tools for research. Unfortunately, dissertations may be difficult to obtain as normally there will only be a few holders of the dissertation. The easiest dissertations to use are those published by Barry University graduates. Current Barry dissertations are often included in the database link provided on this page. Often times, borrowers must use interlibrary loan to obtain dissertations published at other institutions. Many times the holding University will not allow their dissertations to be borrowed from their collections. Instead, dissertations are sold through UMI for a fee depending on the format. For information regarding borrowing dissertations, please contact the Interlibrary Loan Department.
