Latino Americans Resources: Finding Books

This guide provides resources on Hispanic Americans culture, history, authors, entertainers, etc.

Search for Print Books

  • Barry Catalog: Search for books available at your library.
  • WorldCat: Search for books available at other libraries. You are allowed to request books from a SEFLIN member library (see "SEFLIN Card" details below), or request books through interlibrary loan.  If you are not sure how this works, please contact a librarian.
  • Google Books: Search for books available on Google site.  Previews are available for some books.

SEFLIN Card

If the book is not available at Barry, and is available at a Southeast Florida Library Information Network (SEFLIN) member library, current Barry students, faculty, and staff are allowed to check out books from most SEFLIN member libraries.  All you need is a SEFLIN card (the card is available at the circulation desk) and your current Barry ID.

 

Interlibrary Loan

If you are unable to visit a SEFLIN Member Library, you also have to option to request the book throught Interlibrary Loan.  This allows you to pick up the book at your library.
