Distance Education Library Resource Guide

The Library provides many services which are especially suited to students who are taking Barry University courses taught through distance learning. The pages gathered here are dedicated to guiding students to these services; if you need assistance, please let us know- we are here to help!

What library services are available to Distance Education Students?

The Monsignor William Barry Memorial Library strives to accommodate the information needs of our students and faculty.

• Library Catalog: Use the Library's catalog to find books, video, title of journals, magazines, and other material in the William Barry Memorial Library.
• Inter-Library Loan (ILL): Interlibrary Loan (ILL) provides current Barry University Faculty, Staff, and Students access to resources which are not available at the Monsignor William Barry Memorial Library. The ILL office is located on the 4th floor of the Monsignor William Barry Memorial Library, room LIB 423.

  ILL’s hours of operation are: Monday – Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Borrowing services can be reached at 305-899-4050 or at ill@barry.edu.

WorldCat contains over 40 million citations to books, periodicals, sound recordings, videos, musical scores, archival materials and much more, representing holdings of most libraries in North America and some in Europe.

You can search for popular books, music CDs and videos—all of the physical items you're used to getting from libraries.
