Government Agencies

Florida Board of Education
The Department of Education serves as the single repository of education data from school districts, state and community colleges, universities, and independent postsecondary institutions - allowing us to track student performance over time and across varying education sectors.
U.S. Department of Education
The USDoE establishes policies on federal financial aid for education and distributes as well as monitors those funds; collects data on America's schools and disseminates research; focuses national attention on key educational issues; and, prohibits discrimination and ensures equal access to education.

Evaluating Sources

There is a vast amount of information available on the Internet. However, the Internet is not regulated by any agency, so anyone can post information that may not be reliable. Therefore, it is important to evaluate the information before using it as a source.

Professional association advancing equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, and research.
American Council on Education
Serves as a consensus leader on key higher education issues and seeks to influence public policy through advocacy, research, and program initiatives.
Association for the Study of Higher Education
Promotes collaboration among its members and others engaged in the study of higher education through research, conferences, and publications.
National Association for Multicultural Education
Advances and advocates for equity and social justice through multicultural education.
National Association of School Psychologists
