Popular Culture and the Law: Searching the Library Collection

A collection of research sources and strategies to assist you in Professor Taylor Simpson-Wood's Popular Culture and the Law class at Barry University School of Law (and beyond).

Searching the Law Library Catalog

All users may search the Barry Law Library catalog at http://eguides.barry.edu/BarryLawLibraryHome

(You can also click Advanced Search for even more options, but we recommend Keyword searching to start with, unless you have the specific title, author, or ISBN for a book.)

This process will search print and electronic holdings throughout our physical collections and online databases.
If you want a book in the Law Library collection, make sure you click Catalog in the facets on the left side of the screen.
You can also select Law Library, unless you want to search Barry University's Main Library collection.

Requesting Interlibrary Loans

First-time users may create an ILLiad account to request interlibrary loans.

We recommend you use your Barry username and password for convenience.

Existing users may log into ILLiad to request articles, books, book chapters, and more as interlibrary loans.

Our Circulation staff will make every attempt to get your book or article from a number of participating libraries.  You will receive an automated message when your materials become available.  You will be able to log into ILLiad to download articles that are delivered in electronic (PDF) format.  Books will be available for pickup in the Barry Law Library, or may be delivered to your faculty mailboxes upon request.
